Captain V. K. Verma, the founder of M L Convent Group of Schools, had a dream to open an English Medium school where all the students specially who are financially weak could get education in English medium which was impossible for a common man because of the high fees in Missionary Schools. The journey of M L Convent was started on 02 October 1974, when foundation of this great institution was laid by Capt V.K Verma and Mrs. Sheel Kumari. M L Convent is a living monument to the cherished dream of its founders, who devoted all their lives to raising this institution to great heights. Captain Verma a man of strong will has made it alive. He had opened a branch of M L Convent at Karelabagh in large space which is affiliated to C.B.S.E. Delhi and had affiliation of Science and Commerce upto 12 and had unique identity in the city.

Things like highcaste and low caste were beyond the understanding of Shri Virendra Kumar Verma (Captain Verma), there was no place for such discrimination in his behavior. Indiscipline was not tolerated at all by him, due to which his nature seemed quite harsh. But the tough looking personality was full of love for everyone in his mind. He wanted everyone's progress, wanted to see everyone educated and aware, so he used to encourage children to pursue sports along with studies.

Now if we look back, it is seen that despite the many difficulties faced from time to time, the way he was successful in fulfilling his intentions, it seems that God must have given his support to his goodwill. Both of them are not present now, but their teachings will always be with us. It will always guide us and their efforts as a M L Convent School will live on forever among us.
